Appalachian Ministries Educational Resource Center

AMERC promotes contextual, cross-cultural education for theological students and other Christian leaders. Working primarily through an ecumenical consortium of partners, AMERC supports experiential learning about the theological, spiritual, social, economic and environmental aspects of Appalachian cultures. Providing Christian service to Middlesboro, KY since 1979, CCM’s member churches covenant together in ecumenical partnership. In service to their community, they practice Christ’s call to feed the hungry, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, visit the sick, and seek out those imprisoned by fear, weakness and lack of opportunity.
